A mental model is simply our way of interpreting the various inputs (including data, observations and experience)
which we are continually getting in order to make sense of what we see. As an example, this presentation will focus on what I
think is happening within our furnaces and how that interpretation helps us to improve the operations and provide a basis for
troubleshooting when things are not as they should be. My model is incomplete - as it should be - because it is evolving. It is not
meant to replace the various physical and cfd models. Nor will they replace mine - because they are also incomplete! I think it' is
appropriate combination of the various models that provides the most benefit.
